2024 Teddy Bear Ride on Sept 15th

We are expecting great things for our 2024 Teddy Bear Ride on Sept 15th!

This is our 9th Year to ride for the kids!!!

Even though 2023 was a Banner Year for us, we intend this year to be the best yet!

We’ve tweaked up our route and plan to go through some beautiful rolling back roads that you will love!

Hundreds of Riders came out last year to enjoy and support. We are fully escorted, and this year, we also have outrider escorts posted every 100 riders just in case of an emergency.

Over 400 Motorcycles participated in the 27-mile fully Police escorted ride.

750 Teddy Bear/Stuffed Animals were collected for the Children. They will be used to comfort the children seen by the CAC.

A Grand Total of $74,224.32 was raised for the Rockwall County Children’s Advocacy Center for our 8th annual Bikes for Tykes Teddy Bear Ride in 2023!

When we all come together and contribute, we can make a big difference.

You can help by sponsoring our event, riding in the event, and contributing items for our silent auction after our ride.

Another great way to support this event is to share the details with your friends and community on Facebook and other social media.

Meet Our 2024 GRAND MARSHALL — Don and Donna Riggs

Business Development Leader — Future Infrastructure, LLC (a Primoris company)

CP Preparatory School

This will be the 9th year for the Bikes for Tykes Teddy Bear Ride, which benefits the Childrens Advocacy Center for Rockwall County.

Don and his wife, Donna, have been an integral part of this event since the beginning. Both are very passionate and have a servant’s heart when it comes to supporting the abused and neglected Children of Rockwall County.

Rockwall County Bikes for Tykes Teddy Bear Ride and AGMC are proud to announce and have Don & Donna Riggs as the 2024 Grand Marshals for this event!!

Since the beginning, Don and Donna Riggs have shied away from the limelight or recognition, only concerned with supporting us as we “help those who cannot help themselves.”

Last year, we finally were able to arrange a tour of the Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County to show them just how their support over the years has benefited these most vulnerable children. Since the tour, they have become a bit more receptive to having some recognition that is so well deserved.

CP Preparatory School

Don Riggs founded Future Telecom in 1999 and leads the operations and business development activities across all Future Infrastructure companies. Don has nearly 40 years of experience in all aspects of the telecommunications and utility infrastructure installation, maintenance, and repair industry.

Prior to the establishment of Future Telecom, from 1988 to 1999, Don served as Operations Manager for R-COM, a Dallas-based underground installer of telecommunications infrastructure.

From 1980 to 1987, Don was the founder and owner of All Star General Contractors, a cable television and telecommunications construction company.

Don is also active in AMBUCS Mesquite chapter, an organization dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities.

This is our 9th year hosting the Rockwall County Bike for Tykes Teddy Bear Ride!!

All proceeds go to the kids at The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) in Rockwall, TX.

America’s Guardians MC is a cornerstone supporter of the CAC!!

The CAC runs solely on donations.

There are several ways — large and small — for you to participate & help support this incredible organization!

The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC)

Our CAC is open for the kids in their greatest hour of need, and offers multiple in-house services.

All of the kids that come in get to pick out their own bear, this gives them a little something to hold onto and clutch as their own after enduring a traumatic event.

When family violence happens, The CAC helps them get through this.

All of this is very traumatic for children, The Rockwall CAC has all of these services under one roof.

All of the money raised in our Teddy Bear Ride supports this program.

The CAC depends on donations from the community to help keep the facility staffed and fully prepared to help these kids.

By April of 2023, unfortunately, Rockwall CAC experienced a 72% increase in child abuse in our community and that number only continues to rise.

Not only does our Teddy Bear Ride collect Teddy Bears, but we also raised over $74,000.00 this past year to help maintain this center and support the work they do.

A Powerful Video From Abuse Survivor

Detective Timothy Rountree, Mesquite Police Department

Often we don’t ever hear about the long-range effects of child abuse.

Please take a few minutes to listen to this short video from an abuse survivor.

Detective Timothy Rountree is a highly decorated child abuse detective and pastor of a church in Dallas — he was also sexually abused as a child. He was the Keynote Speaker at the International Crimes Against Children Conference 2020.
